Healdsburg, CA | Dry Creek General Store–Since 1881!

September 7, 2015

This is another spot that I have driven by too many times to count in Healdsburg–I haven’t stopped because it is usually packed with a lot of people. Last weekend I decided to stop because it wasn’t so packed and grabbed a picnic lunch to-go. Right when I walked in I noticed all of the cute displays, hence the name “general store.”  There is lots of stuff to look at while you wait for your order. displays at the dry creek general store healdsburgThey have a their own garden and only use local, organic and sustainable farms.dry creek general store insideThere are places to sit if you would like to get your food to stay–along with a book corner with a few more nicknacks like book-ends and cake platters.seating at dry creek general storeThey had a huge stock of pre-made things to grab if you are in a hurry.dry creek general store food     It started to get more packed as we were there, which made it a little more tricky to get photos of the menu but here’s my best pictures!

This isn’t a sandwich that I would order again. However, I had a bite of the tuna sandwich (below the veggie) and it was delicious–I loved the added twist of the Basil! dry creek general store healdsburg sandwich    And here I am back at my usual picnic spot–the grapes are still on the vines almost everywhere. It is a sight to see–if you are planning a trip to Sonoma or Mendocino county now is the time to come!

They have  a lot of options and the little displays make this place truly unique in Healdsburg.
