Testing the New DxO ONE 20.2 MP Digital Camera For iPhone and iPad at The California Science Center-San Francisco
I ran across the DxO ONE 20.2 MP Digital Camera…
I went to BottleRock on the 3rd day because I really wanted to see No Doubt–for me it was a toss up between No doubt on Sunday or Imagine Dragons on Friday. I was very happy with my choice! I loved the Sunday line up! I got to see Echosmith, American Authors, Snoop Dogg, Awolnation and No Doubt! It was reported that a whopping 100,000 people made it through the festival in 3 days! The main stage wasn’t that crowded during Echosmith and American Authors. It got more crowded when Snoop dogg got on stage but by the time No Doubt was up the entire field was a sea full of people singing along to all their songs! It was definilty a No Doubt show and Gwen Stefani was amazing!
Security: The security was horendous! I made it a point not to bring a purse so I could get through quickly and as “non-invasivly” as possible-haha. I just had my phone in my hand and my cards in my pocket–walked up and the security agent said to me “put your arms out” and she proceeded with a pat down. Really? What could I be hiding on my non-clothed arms?? The part that bothered me was that they were not changing their gloves–disgusting! Bottlerock–please do something with your security for next year! If you are going to pat down everyone no matter what-then you need to at least give us the option of the agents changing their gloves! Getting through security at a Giants game at the massive AT&T park is easier! Parking: I purchased my parking pass ($40) at the same time I purchased the tickets. I thought that since I was buying a “BottleRock parking pass” that I would be somewhere near the actual event–wrong. It was over a mile walk–not bad but maybe they should mention this when I am purchasing the pass. If you had someone who has difficulty walking or a handicapped person, this would not work. I also thought it would be easy to find the lot-wrong again. The address I got is below–after driving around for a while and having google maps dead end us–we followed some people and luckily found it.
General Admission Parking (Lot 8)
459 Soscol Avenue
Napa, CA 94559 Price: A one day regular ticket was $120. –if I go next year I am paying extra for the VIP area–they looked so happy in there nice spacious closed off area while the rest of us were all crammed together-haha. Food: I could not believe the all the food options they had–there were tons and tons and tons–it was really hard to choose! I noticed that the lines were longer in between the Main stage shows. I don’t drink alcohol but there were also wine options galore! I do not think this was necessarily a “family friendly” event. I say this because I was so surprised to see so many strollers and infants--babies ears are sensitive–a music festival is not an ideal place to bring them. Plus when Snoop Dogg performed–well–lets just say it was not a “G-rated” performance! If you are into personal space then this is not for you–you will have to leave your personal space at the door! You will be shoulder to shoulder, face to face, back to back everything to everything–with tons of sweaty and drunk strangers. Here’s a video from BottleRocks Youtube channel of Day 3.
What to Bring:
*A cross body bag–to be hands free!
*Boots or tennis shoes! –wearing sandals was my rookie mistake-my feet were pretty dirty at the end of the night.
*light jacket or long sleeve for the cool Napa evening.
My Quick Take: I had so much fun at this music festival! The highlight for me was seeing Gwen Stefani! If I did it again I would pay the extra money for the VIP area-definitly!
Next Years dates are set for May 27-29, 2016
Did you go to BottleRock this year? What day did you go? Or did you do all 3–let me know in the comments!
